Message Series: Sabbath

Tonight, we gave students the chance to put into practice what we talked about last week.  So, we had 4 different stations set up throughout the building for students to visit.  Each one of them had leaders to guide students through various Sabbath practices.  So, they spent time singing to the Lord, praying to Him, sitting still before Him, and reading His Word.  Through theses activities, we hope that students got a taste of what it’s like to be able to enjoy a time of rest with God.  It should be something that we enjoy rather than endure.  So, talk to your student about this experience.  Ask them:

Did you enjoy that activity you guys did tonight?
Which of the stations do you think helped you to connect with God the best?
Do you think it’s worth doing more often?  Is it something you would like us to do as a family?
What can you do to make sure that you don’t forget to do this?

We pray that great conversations will be sparked between you and your kids.  We are praying for your families and we appreciate any prayer for our church family, especially within the youth ministry.  We heavily depend on it.  So, thanks and see you soon!
