THE FACTS:

Carol brings her vast experience as an office manager and administrative assistant working for a high-level executive at a regional office of the then, Fortune 500 Company, Pitney Bowes. Counter to that work experience, Carol entered the educational field where she worked six years as a preschool teacher. She also is HOPE’s wedding coordinator and helps with the food pantry. Carol and husband, Matthew, have been married since 1994 and have a son, Christian and a daughter, Olivia.

THE ANSWERS:

One thing I love about my role on staff …

I love my interactions with each of the staff and I love the diversity and variety of responsibilities my jobs require.

A time I saw God at work in my life …

Each time I get to witness the food pantry at work. The people walking through the doors of HOPE those Wednesday afternoons are a their most vulnerable. To see each of them experience the compassion and love of our volunteers firsthand is so moving.

A book that rocked my world (in addition to the Bible) …

“The Boy Who Said No: An Escape to Freedom” by Patti Sheehy is a true story about Frank Medero who escaped Cuba during the beginning of Castro’s regime. I had an opportunity to meet the author in person and was struck by how courageous Medero was at only 17 years of age. This resonated with me as a mom to a 17-year old.

One reason I think people should check out HOPE Church …

HOPE meets everyone wherever and whoever they are. It’s an ever-changing and growing faith community that will appeal to all.

A hobby I’d love to get into but probably never will …

I love travelling and creating new experiences, so I’d love to become a travel agent and help guide others through the process. Who knows? Maybe, someday I will!
