THE ANSWERS:

One thing I love about my role on staff …

I get a first-hand view over and over as I witness kids meeting Jesus for the first time. And, as cool as that is, it’s just as cool to see moms and dads discover their faith through the eyes of their children. Something amazing happens in a family loves going to church together. And I get to participate in making it fun and inviting for everyone!

A time I saw God at work in my life …

When I saw my parents in their 50’s discover who Jesus was to them.  I had been walking with the Lord for over 10 years when my parents met Jesus.  To see the change God made in their hearts and watch how that significantly changed our whole family is a blessing that words can’t describe.

A book that rocked my world (in addition to the Bible) …

“The Best Yes,” by Lysa Terkeurst.  I love to say ‘yes’ to people and things. I love to make people happy and serve in all kinds of ways.  But yes to everything was killing me and forcing me to say no to the things that really mattered. Learning to embracing wisdom-based decisions and make my best ‘yes’ was life changing for me. I am free to say ‘no’ so that when God calls I can say ‘yes’!

One reason I think people should check out HOPE Church …

The Children’s program of course!  No seriously, we have a blast in the children’s wing and IT is the place to be! We take the leading of children on their faith journey very serious…but we don’t take ourselves too serious.  Fun and faith go hand and hand in the children’s wing!

A hobby that I’d love to get into but probably never will …

Gardening! I love the idea of getting into the earth and planting and growing fruits and vegetables. I love the idea of producing food to feed my family. And actually I have tried a few times and I just can’t keep anything alive. As much as I love the idea of gardening, I lack the time and skills for the execution-maybe someday!
