Advent is one of my favorite times of the year; from that first Sunday we look with renewed vigor toward our Savior. In America, the Christmas season has quickly become a time when the hustle and bustle of consumerism threatens to overwhelm us and leave us spent; emotionally, physically and spiritually. Yet, I love Advent because it reminds me to slow down. Instead of “keeping up with the Jones,” my focus becomes keeping up with Jesus. The season becomes a time of preparing – not just gifts and trimmings but, in addition, my heart.–Heather Mandala
Each of the four weeks in advent focus on something Jesus brings to us when we enter into relationship with Him:
Love, Hope, Joy, and Peace.
This Advent season let’s be intentional about preparing our hearts for Him the way we prepare our homes for Christmas.
Join us in focusing on these four gifts through devotions emailed Monday through Friday. Each devotion is written by a member of our HOPE family and shares their personal experiences of finding Jesus in the midst of the hurry.
