Earth Day Service Project 4.22.16

“First this: God created the Heavens and the Earth — all you see, all you don’t see.” – Genesis 1:1

Are you a student interested in spending your Earth Day serving others? On April 22-23, 2016 Hope’s Youth Ministry will be heading to Delanco Camp as part of

HOPE’s #WeServe Earth Day service project.

We will be staying and serving at Delanco Camp. Delanco is lo- cated at 191 Powell Place Rd., Tabernacle, NJ (near where Rt. 70 & 206 meet, 20 minutes from Hope) and is a Christian summer camp ministry for youth and their families. Several hundred kids spend a week of their summer at Delanco each year. Check out for more info. The cost includes three meals on Saturday, lodging, and work projects.

The purpose for our 24-hour stay at Delanco is to serve the camp and to prepare Delanco for the beginning of its summer camping season. Our specific construction projects are varied. Some projects from previous years have included– window replacement, bridge decking & railings, new porch enclosure, winter clean up (leaf raking), painting projects, and other small construction projects. And we have a blast serving together. We will sleep in the camp dormitories on Friday night. And we eat all our meals together in the camp dining hall.
