“Sharing the Caring”…an informational
support network for those caring for loved ones is
hosted by HOPE Church. Whether you are currently caring for an aging or
ill parent, or just have some concerns and worries about your
future role as caregiver, this group can help. Solutions found
through the matching of resources, discussing shared experiences,
and information-packed Q & A sessions, will help reinforce
and refresh stressed caregivers.
Helping
to spearhead the group, HOPE member Dorothy Daly believes
the group fillsl a gap within the community. Improved healthcare
and life-extending medicines mean that many of the country’s
75 million baby boomers are being faced with caring for aging
parents.
“We are so pleased by the response to the seminars so far. Many, many people are helping to care for family members and friends, and this forum is giving them useful resources as well as a place to talk about how they are feeling."
Admission is free and childcare is available. To
