Life, it’s more than a game – September 13
There are so many things in our lives that demand our attention. Some are simply ‘to-do lists’ that need to be accomplished. Others are people we need to care for and support. While others may be our own goals and aspirations. Sometimes it’s hard keep our priorities straight and we find ourselves worrying from one activity to the next.
I have found that keeping people, tasks and goals in perspective helps me to find grounding in my life. I think this is what the writer of Proverbs was going for when he wrote about trusting God. By continually (not just one day, but everyday) praying that we would center every area of our lives on God, we can better find perspective and remove a lot of the pressure that comes from the stresses of a day.
The prophet Isaiah said the following:
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
Trust in the LORD always,
for the LORD GOD is the eternal Rock.
ISAIAH 26:3-4 (NLT)
Today, may we seek God’s peace and trust Him in the journey of life.
Questions to think about:
- Where are there areas in your life where you are experiencing stress or anxiety?
- How could you seek God’s peace in that area of your life?
