Anger. It is such a common experience. We all have been there, we all know that feeling. Your heart begins to race. The tension travels through your whole body. It feels as if your muscles will explode. But for such a common emotion, it is often the most misunderstood.
Anger is a secondary emotion. What that means is that it is a reaction to a different emotion. Randy talked about this in his definition of anger; our reaction to a perceived injustice. We feel betrayed, abandoned, misunderstood. But often we can’t dig down past the feeling of anger to determine what is really going on within us. In order for us to really resolve anything, to be able to communicate effectively we need to understand ourselves why we are feeling that anger. – Heather Mandala
