MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a program designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. MOPS offers instruction and  support in a relaxed atmosphere of caring, sharing, and fun! Our HOPE MOPS group is chartered with MOPS  International, Inc. This non-denominational organization helps us to nurture every mother by meeting her distinct needs. MOPS is primarily led by the mothers themselves with the addition of “seasoned, veteran” moms who are affectionately called “Mentor Moms.” This group meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesday from 9:30 – 11:30am. There is a semester fee which covers the cost of childcare. Go to to register and pay. Target Audience –  Mothers of infants – Kindergarteners

New! Wednesday Morning Bible Study for Women

How would you describe your best friend? Your spouse? Your children? When we know people well, our descriptions of them are richer and fuller than of those we know as mere acquaintances. So how would you describe God? And how does your view of God impact your life? The Wednesday Morning Women’s Bible Study will begin this new, 11-week study based on Chip Ingram’s book entitled God As He Longs for You to See Him. They will hold an introductory meeting on Wednesday, September 16.

The Wednesday morning women’s group meets each week from 9:30 to 11:30am. Childcare is available.

Picture3HOPE’s Prayer Shawl Ministry

Do you like to knit or crochet? Why not join HOPE’s Prayer Shawl Ministry? They meet the third  Wednesday of every month from 1 to 3pm in the Fishbowl. This group crafts blankets for newly baptized youngsters along with prayed-over shawls for shut-ins and  convalescents. Target Audience – Women

Praying Wives Club

Loosely based on the bestselling book by Stormie Omartian, this group will help participants learn how to utilize the amazing power of prayer by giving practical advice on praying for specific areas of your husband’s life, including his decision-making, fears, spiritual strength, role as father and leader and faith and future.

Led by Brynn Gutelius, this group will meet each Wednesday evening in Room 101 from 6:30 to 7:30pm  beginning October 28.

Am I Messing Up My Kids?

Learn to handle the “mommy stress” that comes with parenting and managing a home and a life. Based on Lysa TerKeurst’s book, Am I Messing Up My Kids?, this small group will help mothers learn how to release the guilt they sometimes feel.

Led by Christine Graves and Lil Graham, this group will meet each Thursday morning in Room 101 from 9:30 to 11am beginning September 24. RSVP Heather Mandala at for childcare.

Thursday Evening Women’s Bible Study

No Bible background is needed for this ten-week study on the New Testament. Participants will gain an understanding of the key themes of the New Testament and leave this study with a hunger to learn more.

 Led by Heather Mandala and Amanda Cavaliere, this group meets each Thursday at 7pm in Room 100 beginning September 24.

Faith and Fitness

Join  Beachbody Coach, Jackie Falcone as she pursues her own goals of putting Faith and then fitness as priorities in her life. We all know that life can overwhelm us and we can lose our focus. However, when we put God first and then take the time to exercise and make healthy choices, we are better prepared to face the demands of the day head on!  This group will meet on Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings.  The first half hour will be a devotional time, followed by 30 minutes of intense exercise! You can come both days or just once a week, all fitness levels are welcome all you need is the desire to follow God and get fit!

Tuesday’s 7:30pm to 8:30 pm class begins September 29  and Saturday’s 7:30am to 8:30am class starts on October 3.

Ladies Who Lunch

On the second Saturday of each month, this small group meets at Oceano’s             Restaurant in West Berlin at 12 noon for some fun socializing and “sistership.” These retired women would welcome new participants to share as they experience the “autumn” of their lives together.This group is coordinated by Betty Ward.
