Sunday Bulletin Article – January 20, 2013 – We're All About Prayer

We’re All About Prayer

When you worship at HOPE, there are many ways to have a fresh encounter with God. For some, it will be the message that resonates. Others will be moved through worship in song and still others will experience God’s presence through community with one another.

Our Prayer Station, now located to the left of the stage, is yet another avenue to partner with God. Designed to give you a place to pray, meditate and worship, HOPE’s Prayer Station is an opportunity to both offer prayers and request some of your own. Many times our Prayer Station will change themes to coincide with the morning worship themes.

You can leave a note for others to pray over by leaving your name, your concern or as little or as much information you would like to share. Consider reading the prayers and praises left by others. It will be an encouragement to you and a way you can pray for others in the HOPE community. You could even write on the note an encouraging word or praise for someone. Please know that all prayer requests are lifted up each Wednesday evening by a prayer team, No Worries Wednesday. They meet in HOPE’s Fishbowl each week at 7pm. All are welcome to attend.

When visiting the Prayer Station, be sure to take a Pocket Prayer Shawl away with you. Each shawl is knitted and prayed over by HOPE’s Prayer Shawl Ministry, a group also meets in the Fishbowl the third Wednesday of each month at 1:30pm. This ministry is open to anyone who knits or crochets.

HOPE’s Prayer Station is always open. Stop there any time … during the week or before, during or after worship.

Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith,   having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty consciences and having our bodies washed with pure water.
