Here are Some Ways …
Ways To Help Locally …
There are literally hundreds of places you can choose to volunteer in our area. Here are a few ministries we’ve partnered with recently.
Urban Promise – urbanpromiseusa.org
HOPE has partnered with Urban Promise for over 25 years ago!
Urban Promise equips Camden’s children and young adults with the skills necessary for academic achievement, life management, spiritual growth, and Christian leadership. They fulfill this mission through after-school programs, summer camps, two schools, experiential learning, job training, and a host of other programs that challenge youth to develop and realize their potential.

The Neighborhood Center – ncicamden.org
The Neighborhood Center strives to serve the local community by offering academic, athletic, and arts programs for children and teenagers while working to transform our community.
Volunteers run the Neighborhood Center – it’s that simple. From the kitchen to the daycare to the gardens and offices, volunteers help keep operating costs low. Both individuals and groups are welcome to help out for a day, a week, or on a regularly scheduled basis.
If you are interested in finding out how you can be of help to The Neighborhood Center, please contact volunteer coordinator – Christa Galvin at 856-365-5295 or email@example.com.
Habitat for Humanity – habitatbcnj.org
There is a local chapter of Habitat for Humanity in nearly every county in NJ. And every local Habitat for Humanity has a ReStore. A ReStore is Habitat’s version of a big box home improvement store. The difference? Profits from every ReStore purchase goes to help build a Habitat home.
Habitat is able to put every dollar toward a Habitat home in two ways. Donations and volunteers.
Volunteers help to organize, stock, and care for the donations before they are put out for sale at the local ReStore. Volunteers may assist drivers as they pick up donations, work with Habitat’s metal salvage program, organize the ReStore floor and yard or help with special events. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to work and be part of Habitat’s mission.
No matter what your experience level and interests are, there is a way for you to help! Volunteers can help in Construction, ReStore, Events, Office Work, Youth Activities, or Corporate.

Philabundance – philabundance.org
Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways to be involved with Philabundance.
Whether you want to get hands-on in the warehouse or one of the direct service programs, see the inner workings of the organization by assisting with administrative tasks, or help Philabundance spread the word at special events, there is an opportunity that is perfect for you.

Individual volunteers can create a log-in and sign up for available shifts (click “sign in” in the upper right corner). Families and small groups will need to have each volunteer create a log in and sign up for the shift to make sure that a space has been reserved for them.Filed Under: Missions, Missions Feature
