"Having grown up in church and Sunday school, participated in youth group, graduated from a Christian college and seminary, it was refreshing to get a new glimpse of God. Not the one I heard about in church, Sunday School, etc.; but the true, the great, I AM - the God who would be smiling and laughing and cooking and crying and shocked and shaken. In The Shack, I came face to face with that kind of God. I didn't want to read this book, and was only reading it beacuse the author will be a speaker at a conference I'll be attending in the fall. I wanted to find out what all the hype was about. And, after reading it, I can't recommend it strongly engough! A great book for those who love the One who loves them the most. And, a great book for those who hate the God they think they know."
