Some people like to jump right into the deep end. Others want to take things slow and a little bit at a time. So, when the idea of connecting with others comes up for you…
however you like to do it, we are here for you.
The Ten Team
Help HOPE Feel Like Home
When we welcome first-time guests into our homes, we do everything in our power to make them feel at ease. And, that’s just what HOPE's Connections ministry strives to do each Sunday for all who walk through our church doors.
The Ten Team is a newly launched group of volunteers who commit once a month to spend ten minutes before, and ten minutes after, a Sunday worship service doing the important work of meeting and greeting guests in their section.
“Many of us have forgotten what it’s like to come into a church for the first time,” says HOPE's Connections Director and Youth Pastor, Dave Falcone. “It can be pretty intimidating. Newcomers can often feel awkward and anxious.”
That’s where the Ten Team comes in, explains Dave. “Just saying hi, introducing yourself to people you haven’t met yet, and making small talk with them will go a long way in helping them feel comfortable.”
No experience is necessary to become a part of the Ten Team and a short, fun training video is available to give volunteers ideas on how to implement the strategy. If you would like additional information or to volunteer to become a part of the Ten Team, email Dave Falcone or Connections Coordinator, Erica DePalma.

Meals from the Heart
Meals from the Heart provides meals to HOPE families who are experiencing challenging life circumstances such as a surgery, illness, bereavement or the birth of a new baby. Want to help? Why not sign up to make and or deliver meals to those in need. Schedules are very flexible.
If you belong to a small group and are looking for ways to connect and help others, consider volunteering for this ministry. Contact HOPE Cares coordinator, Erica DePalma.
College Kids & Military Personnel
HOPE Cares collects the mailing addresses and birth dates of HOPE's college-bound students so they can receive cards and notes of encouragement throughout the school year. This reminds them that their faith community is holding them in prayer.
HOPE Cares also sends letters, cards and notes of support to HOPE individuals who are serving in our armed forces.
Please contact HOPE Cares Coordinator, Erica DePalma for more information about adding a student or military person’s name to the lists, or to volunteer for this important ministry.
